Elon Musk uses crazy argument not to testify in Tesla case, but that doesn’t work in court

The argument that statements by Tesla CEO Elon Musk may have been made by so-called deepfakes and that he should therefore not testify in a case about a Tesla driver who died in an accident has not been well received. A California judge called that argument “deeply disturbing.” Deepfakes are faked videos with artificial intelligence (AI) in which it seems that people are saying and doing things that have not actually happened.
