Allegedly, Elon Musk mistook his (ex?) partner Grimes for a simulation when he met her. Journalist Devin Gordon tells BBC documentary “The Elon Musk Show” that the singer agreed with the multi-billionaire – she really feels like an AI that was perfectly created for Musk.
Gordon reports how Grimes is said to have told him about it: “[Grimes] kept telling me Musk had this theory, it wasn’t real. She would be a simulation created by him and existing in his cerebral cortex as a sort of perfect companion.” Both Elon Musk and Grimes made a similar joke about creepy AI theories of the future.
Grimes and Musk have been together since 2018 and have two children, but they are reportedly in an on-off relationship and there is conflicting information about the status of their marriage. When asked about her relationship with the mega-entrepreneur, the singer told Vanity Fair in March 2022:
“There’s no right word for it. I would probably consider him my boyfriend [boyfriend] designate, but we are fluid. We live in separate houses. We are best friends. We see each other all the time…We just have our own thing going on and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”

The three-part documentary follows Elon Musk’s journey to becoming the richest man in the world. His family, employees, friends and enemies are interviewed. The second episode will be released on BBC Two on October 19th and the third episode a week later on October 26th.
