Elon Musk, founder of car brand Tesla and aerospace company SpaceX, has sued Jack Dorsey, the former boss of Twitter. This is evident from a legal document which was published on Monday. With the subpoena, Musk is trying to obtain documents from Dorsey that could help him in the upcoming lawsuit against Twitter.
In April, Musk said he wanted to buy Twitter for $44 billion, but returned a few months later. According to the Tesla CEO, Twitter was not honest about the number of fake accounts on the platform – the number of ‘real’ users is said to be lower than Twitter claimed. Twitter thought the purchase should still go through and has taken Musk to court.
In the subpoena, Musk demands, among other things, documents from Dorsey about the processes that Twitter uses to count spam accounts. That could help him in the lawsuit that starts on October 17, although legal experts have previously said Twitter has a strong case.
