Elon Musk sixth person with more than 100 million followers on Twitter | NOW

Billionaire Elon Musk has more than 100 million followers on Twitter. He is the sixth person who has managed to do that, reports statistics website SocialBlade

Barack Obama (132.1 million followers), Justin Bieber (114.1), Katy Perry (108.8), Rihanna (106.9) and Cristiano Ronaldo (101.4) already preceded the Tesla and SpaceX founder . Musk is best known for his striking statements on Twitter.

The milestone is striking because the billionaire made an offer of $44 billion (41.8 billion euros) on Twitter in April. After that, the takeover was put on hold, due to disagreements over the number of bots and fake accounts on the platform.

The billionaire questioned a report from Twitter in early May that less than 5 percent of daily users on the platform are spam accounts. According to Musk, it is more likely to be 20 percent. It is not clear what percentage of the billionaire’s followers consist of fake accounts.
