Elon Musk invented a new way to verify accounts on Twitter

Previously, Musk announced that all verified accounts will become paid. However, the attempt went badly wrong.

The current owner of Twitter Elon Musk has announced that Twitter will be introducing new, different-colored badges, says, among other things CNBC.

Badges belong to verified accounts on Twitter. With the new “color coding”, companies would get a gold mark on their accounts, government accounts would get a gray mark, and individuals, whether they were public figures or not, would get a blue mark.

After his Twitter purchase, Elon Musk has made some changes to the service. All Over Press

According to Musk, all verified accounts would be checked manually before receiving the token. Musk calls the reform “painful but necessary”. According to Musk, the innovation will be launched on Friday of next week.

The earlier reform went badly wrong

Previously, Musk announced that all verified accounts will become paid.

However, the introduction of the new paid feature went horribly wrong, and strange tweets started appearing on the service from well-known companies and individuals who were actually trolls. Twitter relented and shut down the paid feature.

Musk has also received criticism due to extensive layoffs. Twitter fired about half of the company’s employees. However, the company almost immediately begged dozens of employees who lost their jobs to return.
