Elon Musk is known for putting Easter eggs in Teslas
“ELON” is hidden in the vehicle identification number of the thousandth Model Y
The vehicle with the Easter egg is not for sale
Switch to Mars mode via a secret button or display the last Mario Kart level on the screen by repeatedly pulling a certain lever: These are just two examples of so-called Easter eggs – hidden surprises – that Elon Musk gave GQ magazine according to which it has been installed in various Tesla models so far. In February, a picture of a new Easter egg appeared on social media. This probably only exists once.
Musk hid “ELON” in the vehicle identification number
The photo, posted to Twitter by Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt, shows a sticker with the vehicle identification number (VIN) of the thousandth Tesla Model Y produced at the Gigafactory in Berlin. The VIN is XP7YGCELONB001000. If you look closely, you will find the letters ELON in it. The Twitter account “Tesla Owners Online” also comments on this with the words: “This FIN trolls hard ELON”
That VIN is trolling us hard “ELON” ?

Actually an Easter egg or just a coincidence?
Fans hoping to get the vehicle with the Easter egg when buying their new Tesla Model Y will be disappointed: In fact, according to Merritt, this very vehicle will never be sold to a customer. According to t3n, all Teslas built up to the official approval of the Gigafactory in Berlin were produced exclusively as part of internal tests. The Ministry for Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection announced the official approval of the factory in a press release on March 3rd. Mass production can start there soon.
Elon Musk himself has not yet commented on the VIN of the vehicle. So the possibility remains that this is not an Easter egg at all, but merely a coincidence.
