CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk says that he bought a new laptop in the X he owns. However, the introduction of the laptop didn’t go as well as in Strömsö.

– I can’t use it without creating a Microsoft ID, which again means I would be giving their AI access to my computer! Musk states, referring to Windows 11’s Copilot AI assistant.

– This is completely messed up. In the past, it was possible to skip signing in to a Microsoft account or creating one, he said.

Musk’s negative attitude towards Microsoft’s Copilot artificial intelligence assistant can be explained by the fact that he himself runs an artificial intelligence company called xAI, which is developing its own Grok assistant.

Musk’s release was soon followed by an additional note by other X users that the new Windows machine could still be used without creating a Microsoft account. However, Musk did not swallow this remark, stating that it is no longer possible to bypass the creation of an account.

– This is not a good thing from Microsoft, the billionaire stated and said in the comments of his message thread that he had sent a text message to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft has made it difficult to bypass account creation in the Windows 11 deployment process. There is no longer an option to continue deployment without creating or logging into an account. According to it, implementing Windows 11 without creating a Microsoft account is possible, but requires tinkering even from an advanced user.
