Pentland Brands has appointed Paisley Wright as their new creative director. The Edinburgh fashion company owns sports and outdoor brands such as Speedo, Berghaus and Ellesse.
In a statement Tuesday, Pentland Brands said Wright will join the company in mid-August. She will also lead “ambitious plans to transform Pentland Creative Agency (PCA) into an in-house digital content agency.”
Wright built her career at advertising agency BBH London, where she spent 17 years developing concepts for global brands such as Levi’s, Matalan, Absolut, Costa Coffee and The Guardian. Most recently, she worked at the creative agency Portas as deputy managing director.
World-class creativity culture
In her new role as Creative Director at Pentland Brands, Wright will be responsible for building a “world-class creativity culture” that emphasizes innovation, bold ideas and brilliant execution. This is intended to promote brand communication and interaction with consumers. This also includes the introduction of digital storytelling, which can be used on all marketing channels.
“Paisley has a passion for product and brand storytelling and understands retail and how to enhance the omnichannel consumer experience,” said Penny Herriman, chief marketing officer at Pentland Brands in a statement I am confident that she will inspire us and guide the creation of highly engaging work that gets our brands talking for all the right reasons.”
