Ellenlong traffic jam after accident on E403

The accident happened just after 5 pm on the border of Lichtervelde and Torhout, in the direction of Bruges. Just before the Torhout exit, the driver of a KIA crashed into a truck. The man became unwell behind the wheel.

The KIA was badly damaged and had to be towed. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The truck driver escaped unharmed. After the accident there was a long traffic jam in the direction of Bruges. The fire brigade came to the scene with a signaling vehicle to protect the area surrounding the accident.
