Ellemieke Vermolen (46) is showered with love after she shared a photo of her stillborn son for the first time on Thursday. Josha, who had Ellemieke with top chef Sergio Herman, was born six years ago.

Ellemieke and Sergio (52) found out in March 2017 that the heart of their still unborn baby Josha Sergio Esra was no longer beating. The umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck and he died in utero. Two years later, Sergio said that he still thinks about his son every day. ,, That has to be. You shouldn’t hide that either. That’s really something that happens every day. The day he actually came into the world dead, those are painful memories. But now we can also look at it differently and we accept that and cherish the moments we saw him,” he said on Flemish TV.
For Ellemieke, her book is part of the coping process. Not only did she lose Josha, in January 2021 she and Sergio announced their separation. She went into EMDR therapy, which is intended for people with trauma-related anxiety. ,,They asked me what I wanted to say to Josha. Pretending I had him in my arms. That is so intense that you have to hold your deceased child in your arms, and that you have to pretend that he is still alive. That contrast, psychologically speaking, is real weird” she said about it RTL Boulevard.
Ellemieke and Sergio, who has a new girlfriend, are now on good terms. In addition to Josha, they also had sons Noah Ronnie Sjors (13) and Zenna Jeremy Michel (11). Sergio also has two children from a previous relationship: a son Boy and a daughter Moon.
