The young high jumper is now on everyone’s lips.
Ella Mikkola17, this year, like a rocket, has become aware of the Finnish athletics people.
One thing, however, is surprising: a young high jumper cannot be followed in social media, as his Instagram account is private-unlike virtually all top athletes around the world.
Why this is the case?
– There’s really no reason to do so. It was originally private, and I have never had any need to make it public before, Mikkola explains.
However, he has been thinking about publishing his account in recent weeks.
– I could do it well, but there has been so much going on here that it hasn’t been the number one priority, he laughs.

The going has undeniably been wild. Mikkola has jumped within two weeks at the Junior Championships and Finnish Championships and on Saturday in Sweden.
Have there been a lot of follow -up requests?
– Yes. Is really much.
– There are hundreds of them.
Currently, 1,800 selected people in Mikkola can be viewed.
A public account and a larger number of followers would help a young athlete get partners, which would promote his career. This has also happened in Mikkola’s mind.
– I haven’t thought about sponsorship before, so the account has not been so important. But now there has been a debate about sponsors, so at first, these things are going through. Of course, that account also has an impact.
The season of dreams

Mikkola’s season is starting to be in the package. He jumped in 186 in Sweden and finished in the fourth place. Ella Junnila won Finland with a score of 188.
However, Sweden won the score 12-10.
Mikkola considers her own performance good, even though she could have crossed a few centimeters.
– It’s been heavy last weeks and lots of big races. The season has been really long and exhausting in every way. It was good to decide now. I can stop with satisfaction.
The season has been very educational for the top promise.
– I feel like I haven’t been able to put all the thoughts even together. I’ve grown a lot mentally. Many great opportunities and success that I wouldn’t have even imagined before this.
Icebreaker
Mikkola’s competition has begun to show tremendous coldness. He doesn’t startle any situations.
– I’ll sign it. In the race fields I’m cold -headed. It’s a feature that I like in myself. I want to hold on to it.
However, he did not against any spiritual warfare against the Swedes.
– I don’t feel like it is needed. If you are in good shape, it speaks for itself.
