Former international Steffen Weinhold as Losfee also gave Saxony-Anhalt a local derby between the Dessau-Roßlauer HV and SC Magdeburg at the drawing of the 13 games at the Supercup in Munich.
Three teams only enter the competition with the round of 16 (November 5/6): defending champion THW Kiel, cup finalist MT Melsungen and the third-placed HBW Balingen-Weilstetten.
