An experience-oriented daytime interpretation at the new daytime activities in the District, Elke His Werk has been offering it since February. Everyone who is looking for more connection, a pleasant interpretation of the day or social connections is welcome. Atlas Sport’s attractively decorated café has room for many different, fun activities.
Elke His Werk has been offering its services in the field of employment coaching, outpatient guidance and personnel services for more than 15 years. This means guidance, support and advice in the field of participation, reintegration, domestic help and personnel issues. Elke His Werk has extensive experience in providing daytime activities for people who need it. With highly specialized staff in our team, we can offer tailor-made solutions.
With regard to the activities that Elke His Werk then offers in the District, such as yoga, cooking or baking together, painting or knitting or (chair) yoga. “But also doing chores around the complex, helping with gardening, playing games and listening to music are among the possibilities. We think it is important that people do what they like and that the activities are suitable for each individual,” says Mirre van der Veer. “Being able to mean something for the quality of life for people who need it is very valuable.”
In isolation
According to Van der Veer, Elke His Werk is ready for (lonely) elderly people, people with psychological or social complaints, people who have ended up in isolation or are at risk of becoming isolated, for rehabilitation after surgery or for chronic health problems. However, a WMO or WLZ indication is a condition for participation.
“We can be found in the Atlas sport building every day, but we would like to get to know the participants first and discuss together how we can best spend the day.”
