The 44-year-old Eline Vedder from Ruinerwold is number 2 on the candidate list of the CDA for the upcoming elections for the House of Representatives, behind Henri Bontenbal from Rotterdam. Number 3 is Derk Boswijk, Inge van Dijk is in fourth place and Harmen Krul is number 5.
The CDA presented the advisory list that was unanimously adopted by the association council on Saturday, according to the political party. The final list of candidates will be determined at the election congress on 23 September in Den Bosch.
“We are entering the campaign with a new CDA that is steeped in Christian Democratic ideas and will fight with energy for the whole of the Netherlands,” the CDA reports. According to party leader Bontenbal, the list of candidates “gives space to a new generation of Christian Democrats”.
The highest newcomer is Marlou Absil (49) from Peel en Maas in eighth place. Anne Kuik is in tenth place, she was number 3 in the previous elections.
The elections are on November 22.
