Thus, the Russian continues to lead the duel with the Chinese by one point (6.0:5.0). 7.5 points are required for overall victory. The two determine the successor to the Norwegian Magnus Carlsen at the World Cup in Astana/Kazakhstan.
As on Sunday, there was also a quick exchange of blows on Monday, after just 39 moves the two opponents agreed on a draw. It was the fourth in a row, there were five decisions in the first seven games.
