In the drama series The Crown (2016- ), the Queen is played by three different actresses. In the first seasons by Claire Foil (pictured here). Olivia Colman took over the role in the third and fourth seasons. Imelda Staulton (Umber in Harry Potter) will play her in the final two seasons.

Jeannette Charles is a professional impersonator of the Queen. That gave her roles in comedy films like Naked Gun (1988) (picture above), Goldmember and the National Lampoon’s series.

Spencer (2021) is about Lady Diana, wife of Crown Prince Charles, who tries to escape her marriage and the royal family. Stella Gonet does the queen.

In Walking the Dog (2017), the queen, played by Emma Thompson, is visited in her bedroom by a desperate intruder.

The animated film The Queen’s Corgi (2019) is about a dog belonging to the Queen. Julie Walters did her voice.

Helen Mirren received an Oscar for her role as queen in the feature film The Queen (2006), set in the turbulent days after the sudden death of ex-daughter-in-law Diana.
