Electric Naoberbus on the road in Central Drenthe for the first time

The electric Naober bus from Buurtvoer Midden-Drenthe is making its first kilometers today. The initiative focuses on less mobile people who cannot use other forms of private or public transport.

The Naoberbus covers a number of fixed routes every week. The bus takes residents to, for example, a supermarket or the market at fixed times.

This afternoon the Naoberbus will make its first round in Beilen. From then on, the bus will make a round of residential care centers Hofstaete, Markehuus, Spectrum and Stroomdal every Monday afternoon between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. On Thursday morning, residents of the residential care centers can get in for a ride between 10:00 am and 11:00 am. After shopping, the passengers are driven back.

In Westerbork the Naoberbus runs every Friday morning to the supermarket or market. The bus drives around there past the Kruumtenhoes, Derkshoes, Wegwijzer and Borkerheem. Boarding is possible between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

On Wednesday morning it is Smilde’s turn, when the bus runs between 9.30 am and 11.00 am along Woldhuus, De Wieken, ‘t Beurtschip/Meerpaal, Walhof and Meesterhof.
