The fire department went out last night for a fire at an electric car parked at the Nije Nering in Hoogeveen.
The vehicle was charging at that time, which is why it was quickly suspected of a short circuit. Still, arson has not been ruled out, the police are investigating the cause of the fire.
The fire service quickly had the fire under control. Because it concerns an electric car, a so-called salvage container was used by the fire brigade. In such a container, the car is placed in a layer of water to prevent the car from catching fire again due to the battery in it.
