The right-wing parties have once again obtained the absolute majority in these regional elections in Castilla y León in 2022 that they have had since 1987, the year since which the PP has governed in this territory, although, in this case, the percentage of votes and the number of seats has been distributed between the popular, Vox and Ciudadanos. And in this division of the cake, the extreme right She is the one who has won the most. The new ultra bite to the Spanish political map has been as spectacular as it is worrying for the next electoral cycle: from 1 to 13 deputies in the Cortes and 212,605 voteswhich is 136,892 more than in 2019.
vox has grown 12 points in Castilla y León, up to 17.64% of the votes, which has allowed it to obtain representation in all the provinces except Soria, where the strong irruption of Soria Now (which has achieved 3 of the 5 solicitors in contention) has slowed down the expectations of the rest of the parties. The extreme right has obtained between 15% and 20% of the ballots in each province, being Valladolid in which it has climbed more strongly (19.96%), followed by Segovia (19.42%) and Zamora (19.0%). Only in Soria has it remained at 11.5%. As for the provincial capitals, in all of them it also moves between 15% and 20% of the votes, except in the city of Soria, where it stays at 8.9%.
