The popular ones prevail in the Huelva towns of Lucena del Puerto and Rociana del Condado

The PP has won in Lucena del Puerto and Rociana del Condado (Huelva) in the municipal elections of the 28M, two of the five municipalities –together with Almonte, Bonares and Moguer– affected by the Law Proposal (PDL) to regularize irrigation of the North Crown of Donana. For its part, Vox only gets representation in Almonte, with a councilor.

In this way, in County Rociana, the PP candidate, Francisco de Asís Pérez, will be the new mayor by obtaining an absolute majority, nine councilors and 66.91% of the votes, five more councilors than in 2019. For his part, the candidate and until now mayor , Rubén Picón (PSOE) obtains 32.19% of the votes and four councilors –three less than in the 2019 elections–. For its part, Vox, which was presented for the first time, did not obtain any mayor.

Likewise, in Port Lucena The party with the most votes in the municipal elections was the PP with 62.05% of the votes and seven councilors, that is, an absolute majority –six more than in the 2019 elections–, followed by the PSOE, with 31 38% of the votes given to him by four councilors – less than four years ago. For its part, Vox has not obtained any mayor.

The circumstance occurs that this municipality had Manuel Mora de Independientes as mayor during several legislatures, but for these elections he decided not to appear and the formation did not present any mayor either, so the voters of this formation have decided to lend their vote to the popular.

On the other hand, in Bonares, the PSOE candidate and mayor, Juan Antonio García, revalidates the Mayor’s office with an absolute majority, since he obtains 54.46% of the votes and seven councilors –one less than in the 2019 elections–. However, the PP grows in the municipality since with 43.8% of the votes that six councilors give it -two more than four years ago-. While Vox, which was presented for the first time, has not achieved representation.

For his part, in Moguer, Gustavo Cuéllar will once again be mayor and revalidates the absolute majority by obtaining 47.67% of the votes and eleven councilors -he achieved 12 in 2019–, while the PP, with María Carmen Díaz, obtains 38.10% of the votes and eight councilors, one more than in 2019, while Avema achieved two councilors, as in the previous elections. Four years ago Podemos and IU won two councilors running jointly under the Adelante Andalucía brand. For its part, Vox does not get any representation either.
