After the lawsuit filed by the Istanbul Governorship Associations Desk in Galatasaray, which was preparing for the Extraordinary General Assembly, the annulment of the election came to the agenda. Dear Galatasaray Community,
Based on the report that emerged as a result of the audit conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Civil Society Relations in our association, a lawsuit was filed by the Istanbul Governorship against the Galatasaray Sports Club Association on Friday, April 8, 2022, before the Istanbul 8th Civil Court of First Instance, with a request for the annulment of the General Assembly decisions.
As soon as the information about the case in question reaches our Club, upon my invitation; Our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Aykutalp Derkan and members of the committee, Chairman of the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, Mr. Metin Sinan Aslan and the members of the delegation, Mr. Eşref Hamamcıoğlu, who was the Presidential Candidate in the election to be held on April 30, 2022, Mr. Metin Öztürk and some of the leading lawyers of our community, Galatasaray Sports Club The board of directors met in the meeting room.
At the meeting, all information about the lawsuit filed was shared with the participants, and the legal steps to be taken on behalf of Galatasaray Sports Club were evaluated in detail.
In the light of all this information, it has been agreed that the legal rights of Galatasaray Sports Club will be defended completely and in the best way in this lawsuit filed, and that the process will be followed in a transparent manner with the participants in the coming days.
In addition, in accordance with the decision taken by our Board of Directors on March 28, 2022, the ongoing election process continues uninterruptedly.
