FOOTBALL – Oussama El Azzouzi was determined after the win against Telstar. According to the defensive midfielder, who played a strong game, there is no room for ‘casual fuss’ at FC Emmen.
He is referring to the premature polonaise that is slowly but surely taking shape in the stands of De Oude Meerdijk. With six games to go, according to El Azzouzi, it is necessary to stay sharp.
‘Everything is easier’
El Azzouzi continues to develop week in week out at the football pride of Drenthe. “I think it’s important to keep playing consistently,” he responds modestly. He also acknowledges that things are going better than in the beginning. “I think I’m a bit more comfortable on the ball. I don’t come under much pressure. Everything is much easier.”
Yet he has been on four yellow cards for a while and so a suspension is looming. “I have become more mature in that. If I eventually have to take someone down, I will take him down, but with the head.”
