Hertha BSC separates from Jurgen Ekkelenkamp. As the capital city club announced, the Dutchman is moving to the Belgian first division club Royal Antwerpen after just one year. The Berliners did not provide any information on the transfer modalities.
The 22-year-old moved from Ajax Amsterdam to Berlin in the summer of 2021, but after his debut with a simultaneous goal against Greuther Fürth, he never set foot at Hertha.
“With this transfer we have found a good solution for all sides. We would like to thank Jurgen for his commitment last season and wish him all the best for his sporting and personal future,” said sporting director Fred Bobic in a club statement.
