20:48
At least good news for the Lower Saxony: The eternal 5-minute penalty has expired.
32
20:45
Goal for EHC Munich, 5:0 by Patrick Hager
The captain strikes! It will be very bitter for Wolfsburg. Street spins the puck from the left circle into the slot, where the completely exhausted Wolfsburg defenders can no longer counter. Hager pokes and uses the second attempt to make it 5-0!
31
20:45
Mingoia outnumbered with the try! Beaudin deliberately puts his back to the incoming Mingoia, who then hits it too centrally. But at least relief for the car townspeople.
30
20:43
Szuber is back on the EHC bench and is being celebrated by the fans.
29
20:41
Goal for EHC Munich, 4:0 by Trevor Parkes
The hosts keep raising! Eder brings the disc up from the corner to Street, who hammers directly on the box. On the way to the goal, the hard rubber gets to Parkes’ skate and from there into the corner!
28
20:41
The final is suddenly far away for the grizzlies. 0-3 down and the best defender who swallows the most ice time out for the game. What else do the Red Bulls bring now in the five-minute majority?
28
20:38
Match penalty (5 minutes + match penalty + suspension) for Jordan Murray (Grizzlys Wolfsburg)
That’s it for Murray! Because this check goes to the head, the major penalty including a match penalty is pronounced here. That’s a reasonable decision. At the same time a severe blow for Lower Saxony.
28
20:38
Murray is just too late for this check. The referees take a good look at the whole thing again.
28
20:37
Frustrated with the grizzlies! Murray foully checks Szuber to the boards and to the head! This is a bad thing. The Referees discuss the penalty. Szuber has a laceration and rushed into the dressing room, getting loudly upset about his opponent on the way.
27
20:34
Goal for EHC Munich, 3-0 by Chris DeSousa
The next step to the final! Not a playoff goal in the classic sense, as DeSousa gets the pass from the gang and curves into the faceoff circle on the left. Then the ex-Wolfsburg player finds a tiny gap at the near post and beats Strahlmeier to make it 3-0!
27
20:33
Eder fails because of ray Meier! Play takes place entirely on the left as DeSousa shifts and Eder finds. His wrist shot is supposed to hit the top left, but Strshlmeier saves with the blocker.
26
20:32
Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Jordan Murray (Grizzlys Wolfsburg)
Murray has to serve the first Wolfsburg penalty. A stock check will be penalized.
25
20:31
Another slap shot from the right side! But again the hard rubber does not slip through to Niederberger.
24
20:30
Murray’s one-timer from the right lands in the Munich block. But at least the Lower Saxony spend more time in the EHC zone.
23
20:29
Niederberger stops a rather harmless advance from Morley, who carries the hard rubber from the rink to the baseline and then wants to plug over the line at the near post. Niederberger has long been on the post with the schooner.
22
20:27
A similar sight as before: the grizzlies with the icing. Already the second in this section.
21
20:23
On to the second third! Wolfsburg has to come up with a reaction.
21
20:23
Beginning of 2nd third
20
20:10
third conclusion:
What a first third. Munich takes the well-deserved 2-0 lead after 20 minutes against overwhelmed Wolfsburg in the dressing room. Justin Schütz shoots the EHC free-standing in front after three minutes and inspires his team. Since then, Munich has been pushing the pace and bursting with energy and self-confidence. The second goal by Daryl Boyle in the eleventh minute is therefore well deserved. Wolfsburg have not yet been able to recover from the two goals they conceded and must get back on track as soon as possible. Head coach Mike Stewart has a lot to do in the dressing room. To be continued soon!
20
20:05
End of 1st third
20
20:05
Hager puts a strong hand in the middle to DeSousa, who is covered twice, but still gets the shot! However, there is beam Meier.
19
20:02
The hosts are complete again.
18
20:02
Well played! After a long pass to the baseline, Fauser is passed in the middle, who immediately deducts. Niederberger stops with the schooner!
17
20:01
What do the guests do in their second majority situation?
16
20:00
Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Patrick Hager (EHC Munich)
Hager and Kastner take Machacek in the pliers in the neutral zone – it hits the captain, who has to go to the penalty box.
15
19:58
Ortega is free through! The lively striker is strongly staged and can choose the gap at Strahlmeier. The shot should come halfway up the right side, but Strahlmeier sets up the schooner and parries.
14
19:56
The next icing of the Wolfsburg.
13.
19:56
The Autostädter are just completely off the roll. Not everyone goes along in the forecheck, the communication doesn’t fit at all. In the back, “Hot Potato” is played. The shock is right now.
12.
19:54
During construction, the puck slips too far and the Lower Saxony collect the next icing. Offensive hooks the machinery.
12.
19:53
A shower can’t be much colder for Wolfsburg! After just eleven minutes, the Grizzlies are chasing a 2-0 deficit away against a totally dominant Munich side.
11.
19:51
Goal for EHC Munich, 2-0 by Daryl Boyle
And it counts! Boyle raises for the EHC! His shot from the right is probably deflected by Jeffrey with the glove in the slot and then slides into the net under Strahlmeier’s arm!
11.
19:51
The video evidence drags on. In this game, of course, particularly explosive. The question is whether Ehliz’s turn with the stick and whether it was placed over the crossbar.
11.
19:49
The disc is in the goal! Boyle sends the puck into the slot from the right cushion where the disc is deflected! However, the gate will be checked. Will Munich take a 2-0 lead here after eleven minutes?
10
19:46
This leaves the guests without a good chance in the power play. So far, Niederberger has not had to intervene.
9.
19:45
Murraysaves with the trowel in dire need! The Munich team launch a highly dangerous counterattack with four (!) against Murray, but the defender blocks the cross pass!
9.
19:44
McKiernan clears the puck along the rink! No conclusion on goal in this majority. Parkes is back on the ice.
8th.
19:43
Smith blocks Murray’s shot from the blue line, allowing the Red Bulls to clear.
7.
19:42
Minor penalty (2 minutes) for Trevor Parkes (EHC Munich)
Parkes hits Bittner from behind with his stick and has to go into the cool box.
7.
19:41
Now there will be a penalty against the EHC.
6.
19:41
At the beginning, Oberbayern bite into the game much more aggressively and lead early and deservedly. The hosts continue to put pressure on the Lower Saxony.
5.
19:39
Munich continues dangerously at the front! First Ray Meier saves against Ortega from the middle, before it gets hot again after the face-off. Johansson shoots concealed from a distance and “Jetie” is lucky that he can still get to the play equipment with his catch hand.
5.
19:37
Schinko approaches on the other for the first time. However, his degree at full speed is clearly overestimated.
4.
19:36
Then it bangs for the first time at Oberwiesenfeld! Schütz causes ecstasy very early on. Wolfsburg sleeps for a moment and Strahlmeier is powerless.
3.
19:33
Goal for EHC Munich, 1:0 by Justin Schütz
Dream start for the EHC! Schütz beats Strahlmeier with the first finish of the game – what a statement. The Wolfsburg do not get the puck cleared on the left gang and Szuber comes to the game device. Schütz detaches himself from the rink and moves into the middle, is left there criminally alone and then pushes the puck into the goal under Strahlmeier!
2.
19:32
While things are really getting going on the ranks, the teams on the ice are making a solid start. Defense comes first.
1.
19:30
Departure! Game #7 is on!
1.
19:30
game start
19:26
Well then. A knife edge game. It will crackle and bang – the stands are full at Oberwiesenfeld! A highlight of the DEL season is waiting for us!
19:21
That depends largely on one decisive factor: the aforementioned Dustin Strahlmeier. Wolfsburg goalkeeper decides the goalie duel with his opponent Mathias Niederberger clearly for himself. Can Strahlmeier make the difference again today, or is Niederberger holding back his best performance for the big stage tonight?
19:15
In almost all games, one thing stands out above all: the Wolfsburg defense has its hands full with the balanced attack of Upper Bavaria. But goalie Dustin Strahlmeier and the men in front often surpass themselves. And the grizzlies are efficient at the front. Even if Munich usually has more of the game and can generate more deals, this has not led to lasting success so far.
19:10
So the grizzlies are lagging behind then. But Wolfsburg also gained experience from the quarter-final series. Because here the Autostädter were able to fend off two match pucks from Straubing and secure the semi-finals in game 7. The Grizzly’s defense is tight and the 3:2 victory postpones the decision: Tonight in Munich, one last chance.
19:05
But even with two defeats in the back – the Munich team didn’t care much about that against Bremerhaven – the highly regarded title contender remains calm and reflects on his strengths. In Wolfsburg, Upper Bavaria turned up the heat in the last third and turned a 0-1 lead into 3-1. The fifth game in the series then goes into overtime: Here it is captain Patrick Hager who can take the decisive trick and restore the series lead for the EHC.
19:01
The reaction of the Wolfsburg was then but in itself. At home, the Lower Saxony won 3:2 and were even able to top it off again. The third game also went 5:3 to the Autostadt team, who suddenly had a great chance of taking a 3:1 lead with the series lead behind them and the Red Bulls in a headlock at home.
18:56
The role of favourites, which the Red Bulls were given before the series due to their dominant main round, no longer plays a role. Both teams have their moments in this series. But both also have to digest one or the other setback. The Munich secured the better start. With a 5:2 win in the first duel, the semi-finals started like clockwork for Upper Bavaria.
18:52
Nothing makes an ice hockey player’s heart beat faster than a game 7. And also in the ranks it is probably the highest feeling when your own team steps onto the ice in the decisive game. The Ingolstadt team, who packed Mannheim into six games and sent them on their way home, are waiting in the DEL final. Will there be a Bavarian duel in the final, or will the Grizzlies bag their second final in three years?
18:45
One last step to the final: Munich and Wolfsburg go head-to-head in the infamous “Game Seven”! The perfect final act of a gripping series. At 7.30 p.m. the first face-off starts. Welcome!
