Eintracht Frankfurt wants ex-talent from FC Bayern

The rumor mill is bubbling away at Eintracht Frankfurt these days. After the signings of Willian Pacho, Omar Marmoush and Hugo Larsson, there could soon be a fourth external signing.

The SBU bosses are still looking for meaningful reinforcements, especially for the defensive positions. The eight-time national player Robin Koch is still hotly traded as the new defensive boss, and Eintracht is also keeping its eyes open for the left-back position.

According to a report by “Bild”, a player who made his first attempts at senior football at FC Bayern recently came into focus.

Derrick Köhn played in Munich’s second team between 2017 and 2020, playing in the 3rd league or regional league of Bavaria at the time. The native of Hamburg then played for the Dutch first division club Willem II at professional level for the first time before moving to Hannover 96 in the second division last summer.

In Lower Saxony, the 24-year-old immediately established himself as a regular player. He was in the starting lineup for Hannover for 33 games this season, scoring five goals.

Ex-Cologne Jakobs is also on the screen at Eintracht

The strong performance of Köhn is said to have met with great interest among the Frankfurt scouts, so that the Adlerträger should now seriously deal with the personnel, as the newspaper report goes on to say.

In addition to Eintracht, the left foot should also be on the list at 1899 Hoffenheim.

According to “Bild”, Köhn should cost at least three million euros and is still under contract with Hannover 96 until 2025. In the coming summer he also has a fixed exit clause of three million euros in his contract.

In addition to Köhn, the former Cologne player Ismail Jakobs, who is currently under contract with AS Monaco, was also traded with the Frankfurters. According to the media report, the 23-year-old would be a lot more expensive than Derrick Köhn.
