Hardly a day goes by without a new water level message in poker about Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt. After the SBU rejected the next offer from Paris Saint-Germain, a mud fight may now be imminent.
According to media reports, PSG recently made an offer of 70 million euros in base fee plus ten million euros in bonus payments for the Frenchman. According to “Sky”, sports director Markus Krösche rejected the offer.
As “Bild” now reports, the 42-year-old remains firm in the personal Kolo Muani. Accordingly, Frankfurt is sticking to the 100 million euro price tag – a sum that PSG does not want to pay. “We’re just too far apart,” confirmed Krösche.
However, Kolo Muani himself still assumes that he will be able to leave Eintracht for his home country of France this summer. According to the tabloid, the SBU is threatened with a “dirt battle”.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Is Randal Kolo Muani threatening a strike?
However, Krösche recently ruled out that the 24-year-old striker would go on strike. “Never. Kolo is a really good boy who is also humble and grateful for what we as a club have done for him. That will never happen,” he told “Sport Bild”.
Eintracht Frankfurt actually has no pressure in the tug of war for Kolo Muani, after all the center forward is still under contract with the Europa League winner of 2022 until 2027.
“We are the ones who have the reins of action in our hands. We decide and don’t let ourselves be carried away,” emphasized Krösche at a press conference.
The Frankfurters apparently have Hugo Ekitike in mind as a possible successor. The PSG youngster is still part of the talks between Eintracht and the Parisians, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently reported.
