Eintracht Frankfurt threatens competition with the former coach of FC Bayern

Dino Toppmöller is considered a hot candidate for the post of coach at Eintracht Frankfurt. But when it comes to recruiting Julian Nagelsmann’s former assistant at FC Bayern, the SBU must be prepared for competition.

As the “kicker” reports, Eintracht Frankfurt is not the only club putting out feelers for Toppmöller. Accordingly, there is also interest in the 42-year-old from abroad. However, the specialist magazine does not reveal which clubs are involved.

The only thing that is certain is that Toppmöller wants to be the head coach for the coming season. Further collaboration with Julian Nagelsmann is no longer an option.

Toppmöller had already received several offers from other clubs in the past, but always rejected them because the project at FC Bayern appealed to him more, according to the “kicker”.

The 42-year-old last worked for the German record champions as Julian Nagelsmann’s assistant coach, but after his dismissal in March he also had to pack his bags.

Toppmöller developed an excellent reputation in the industry as Nagelsmann’s right-hand man at RB Leipzig and FC Bayern.

In winter he was already traded at VfB Stuttgart when the Swabians, who were threatened with relegation, were looking for a savior. Ultimately, the choice fell on Bruno Labbadia – also because FC Bayern did not (yet) want to let Toppmöller go at the time. Most recently, he was also traded at Club Brugge.

Also Arne Slot candidate at Eintracht Frankfurt?

Toppmöller played for Eintracht Frankfurt himself and was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2003 with SBU. His father Klaus coached the Adlerträger in the 1993/1994 season.

In addition to Toppmöller, the Dutchman Arne Slot is also one of the Eintracht candidates. The 44-year-old has been working for Feyenoord in his home country since 2021 and is doing a great job there, which should not have gone unnoticed by the SBU managers.
