Ecuadorian defensive talent
Eintracht Frankfurt has signed a defensive talent. As the DFB Cup finalist announced on Thursday, Davis Bautista is moving from the Ecuadorian club SD Aucas to the team of new coach Dino Toppmöller. The 18-year-old central defender has signed a contract until 2028.
According to the SGE, the U20 national player of Ecuador should be built up “carefully”. “In addition to looking at the short and medium-term development of the squad, we always want to keep an eye on the long-term perspectives. Davis is a very talented player who we undoubtedly believe is capable of making the ambitious leap from South America to Europe. We want to build him up step by step and support him in realizing his potential for the Bundesliga. With a view to regular competition practice, we could first consider a loan,” said Frankfurt’s sports director Timmo Hardung.
