In recent years, Daichi Kamada has been considered an absolute top performer at Eintracht Frankfurt. The attacking midfielder is currently without a club. A return to the SGE is apparently out of the question.
According to “Bild”, Eintracht Frankfurt would not bring Kamada back. The reason for this: The 2022 Europa League winner simply has no place for the Japanese international.
With Hugo Larsson, Paxten Aaronson and Ellyes Skhiri, the Hessians have signed three new players for central midfield. With Mario Götze, Jesper Lindstrøm and Jens Petter Hauge, other stars are fighting for their chance under the new head coach Dino Toppmöller. And Kamada? After the official end of his contract on June 30, he will have to continue to be patient while looking for a new employer.
In recent weeks, the 26-year-old has been traded at numerous top clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, SL Benfica and AC Milan. But the creative player is still without a new club.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Rumor about Kamada’s return
The “Frankfurter Rundschau” recently brought a return to harmony into the conversation. But nothing seems to come of it.
Kamada switched from the Japanese club Sagan Tosu to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2017 for around 1.6 million euros. A real transfer coup, as the midfielder subsequently developed into an indispensable regular at SGE.
Kamada achieved the crowning glory in May 2022 when he won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt. In total, the 29-time national player made 179 competitive appearances for the Adlerträger. The record: 40 goals and 33 assists. It seems impossible that there will be more games in the Eintracht Frankfurt jersey. Instead, Kamada must continue to probe the transfer market for his future station with his agent.
