Assan Ouédraogo from FC Schalke 04 will probably be a sought-after transfer object in the summer. FC Bayern and BVB are said to have already put out feelers. Eintracht Frankfurt is now apparently getting serious.
As “Bild” reports, the Hessians definitely want to sign Ouédraogo in the summer. Accordingly, the SGE is luring the Schalke jewel with a long-term contract until 2029 and the prospect of a lot of playing time in the Bundesliga.
But the Frankfurt team are not alone in courting the 17-year-old midfielder. According to the report, RB Leipzig is the favorite in poker for Ouédraogo. The youngster could very likely play in the Champions League for the Saxons next season.
Ouédraogo is tied to FC Schalke 04 until 2027. Thanks to a rumored release clause of seven million euros, he can leave the Revierklub in the summer.
FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund have also recently been said to be interested. According to “Sport Bild”, a move to BVB is out of the question as the Schalke homegrown player has been a huge fan of the Royal Blues since childhood. A switch to the arch-rival is therefore ruled out.
Ouédraogo is also said to have turned down FC Bayern. The prospects of much playing time are simply too low due to the density of stars in the German record champions’ squad, it was recently said in “Sport Bild”.
Can Uzun continues to be in the sights of Eintracht Frankfurt
In addition to Ouédraogo, Eintracht Frankfurt is also still vying for the services of Can Uzun from 1. FC Nürnberg. According to “Bild”, the 18-year-old is on the list of sports director Markus Krösche.
Uzun also has two well-known competitors, Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern.
Eintracht Frankfurt has already received a basket from another transfer target this winter. Sweden gem Lucas Bergvall decided against a move to the Bundesliga and is joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.
