Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently negotiating a possible Kostic transfer

Actually, Filip Kostic is an indispensable top performer at Eintracht Frankfurt. Nevertheless, a farewell to the left winger should be quite possible. After the Serb was associated in particular with a move to Italy in recent months, a club from the Premier League now seems to be serious – the outcome is open.

As “Sky” reports, West Ham United has made an offer of 13 to 14 million euros for Kostic. Eintracht Frankfurt said this offer was “not enough”. As a result, the Europa League winner should demand 15 to 20 million euros for the 29-year-old.

According to the TV broadcaster, the Hessians are “optimistic” that they can still trade up West Ham in the talks. Further rounds of talks with the Londoners are said to be planned. “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg concludes that Frankfurt “is willing to actually let Kostic go”.

The left winger is only tied to Frankfurt until 2023. Consequently, Eintracht could take a high fee for Kostic for the last time this summer. As the “Sky” report goes on to say, the SBU is not expecting a decision this week.

Remaining at Eintracht Frankfurt probably not excluded

Kostic has also been linked with Juventus in recent months. But now that the Italian record champions have signed Ángel Di María, West Ham seem to have the best cards.

However, a long-term stay Kostics is not yet excluded. “Sport1” reported in mid-July that the offensive player could imagine extending his contract with SGE until 2026.

“Everything has been said there. Great offer for him, the highest respect,” said Frankfurt club president Peter Fischer in an interview with the TV station about Eintracht’s efforts.
