“I’m happy to be part of this great club,” wrote Enrique Herrero García on his Instagram channel, confirming his transfer to Real Madrid, which had already been initiated. The 17-year-old center forward from Spain comes from Eintracht Frankfurt and is supposed to strengthen the U18 juniors of the “Royal”.
Herrero García only came to Hesse last summer from the youth department of Europa League winners FC Villarreal, according to the “Marca” but difficulties getting used to German football. Apparently, the SGE was not initially enthusiastic that Herrero García’s advisor came forward to force a departure, but then agreed. The youngster is only eligible to play in Madrid for the new season.
“Enrique is a player with great potential and an exciting perspective. He gets enough time and opportunities here to develop and take his first steps in professional football,” said Frankfurt’s sporting director Markus Krösche in July 2021.
