Eintracht Frankfurt has to pay for incidents in Barcelona

Eintracht Frankfurt has to pay a total of 12,500 euros in fines after incidents in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals at FC Barcelona.

8,000 euros are due to “inappropriate behavior by the team”, 4,500 euros are due to fans lighting fireworks in a 3-2 away win, as the European Football Union UEFA announced. The penalties were already imposed on May 2nd by the Continental Confederation’s Disciplinary Committee.

Among other things, Frankfurt is threatened with a higher penalty for Eintracht supporters rushing into the final after being 1-0 in the semi-final second leg against West Ham United.

The Hessian Bundesliga club meets Glasgow Rangers in the final on Wednesday (9:00 p.m.) and is fighting for their first international title since 1980.
