Eintracht Frankfurt has made its next winter signing, signing youngster Jean-Mattéo Bahoya from French second division club Angers SCO. The 18-year-old offensive talent signed a contract in the Main metropolis until 2029 and could become one of the three most expensive SGE transfers.

According to data from “L’Equipe” and “Picture8 million euros are due immediately and up to 4 million euros in bonuses. If all conditions are met, only the signings of Djibril Sow and Luka Jović were more costly for the SGE. Bahoya, which is also said to have involved Chelsea FC, is already one of the ten most expensive purchases.

Bahoya was trained in Angers and made it into the professional squad there a year ago. Since then he has played 32 games for the first team and contributed five goals and two assists. The France U19 international played mainly in the center and on the left wing.

After Nathaniel Brown (will stay in Nuremberg on loan until the end of the season), Sasa Kalajdzic and Donny van de Beek, Bahoya is transfer number four in the winter, in which further reinforcements could come to coach Dino Toppmöller’s squad. The rumors about a signing of PSG attacker Hugo Ekitiké persist (as of now).
