Benjamin List, winner of the chemistry Nobel Prize in 2021 and a fan of Eintracht Frankfurt, gave the Japanese national soccer player Daichi Kamada a very special incentive to extend his contract with the Hessians.
“I’m a Japan fan. Hasebe is one of my favorite players. But Daichi Kamada – if he left, it would break my heart. I wanted to take the opportunity today to throw my medal into the balance. If he stays, give it I them him,” said List on the sidelines of the round of 16 first leg in the Champions League against Italian leaders SSC Napoli on “Amazon Prime”.
Kamada’s contract, one of Eintracht’s top performers, expires at the end of the season. The Frankfurt would like to extend the contract.
