Eintracht Frankfurt before a firm Hauge purchase: Option becomes mandatory if you stay up in the league

Different information about the height

Last summer, Eintracht Frankfurt secured the services of Jens Petter Hauge (21) from AC Milan for a year on loan. In addition, the Bundesliga club has a purchase option that could become an obligation under certain sporting conditions – this was officially confirmed by the Serie A club. Since that condition is said to be about staying up in the league, the Norwegian could be signed as early as next weekend.

With currently 39 points, the SBU is in ninth place in the Bundesliga five games before the end and still has outsider chances of participating in European business again. 13 points ahead of the table-16. For Arminia Bielefeld, relegation in Frankfurt has long since ceased to be an issue, but at least mathematically it is still possible. If the distance to the relegation place on Sunday (5.30 p.m. at Union Berlin) is maintained or extended, this topic would also be officially ticked off – and Hauge’s change would be fixed.

There were different statements in the summer about the amount that Eintracht would have to transfer to Milan. While German media such as the “Bild” initially assumed 7 million euros, in Italy there was unanimous talk of 12 million euros. Even now “Milannews” writes about the higher transfer fee, which would make Hauge the second most expensive purchase in the history of the Frankfurt club. With “only” 7 million euros, the offensive player, who has scored three goals and two assists in 29 appearances in all competitions, would be in the top 10.
