In the summer of 2021, Rafael Borré made a free transfer from Argentinian top club River Plate to the German Bundesliga, where he has played 63 competitive games (10 goals/8 assists) for Eintracht Frankfurt since then. Now it could come to a separation.
Rafael Borré is said to be on the verge of turning his back on Eintracht Frankfurt and joining Valencia. This was confirmed by “Bild” on Tuesday.
“El Desmarque” and “Deporte Valenciano” in Spain had previously reported the LaLiga club’s interest in the 27-year-old attacking player.
Accordingly, FC Valencia was actually interested in Rafa Mir from FC Sevilla, but the attacker is said to be simply too expensive for the club, and a deal cannot currently be realized. Borré from the SGE is said to have been considered as an alternative. However, “El Desmarque” estimates Borré’s value at ten million euros, which means that only a loan “with or without a purchase option” is an option.

“Bild” in turn writes of a transfer fee of only seven million euros. A sum that Valencia could pay, according to the report. From the point of view of the SGE, the deal makes sense because Borré collects a rumored salary of around three million euros per year, but currently hardly plays a role in sport.
In 2023/24 Borré did not play a minute in a competitive game for the Adlerträger, in the previous season he was in the starting lineup in 15 of 47 games played. With three goals and four assists, the yield is also rather manageable.
According to “El Desmarque” information, Borré is said to have ruled out a move by the Colombian to Mexico that had previously been circulating in the media because he wants to continue his career in Europe. “Bild” claims to have learned that the attacker is also said to have canceled Olympique Lyon and Olympiacos Piraeus.
