Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly made an offer for Nicolás Castro, 21, from CA Newell’s Old Boys. This was reported in Argentina by “TyC Sports” reporters Cesar Luis Merlo, who has not yet commented on the chances of success for the SBU, but according to his account the offer of the Bundesliga club was at least not categorically rejected. Those will now be evaluated by the club. A decision should be made in the next few days.
Castro, attacking midfielder, is by far the most valuable player in the “Leprosos” squad and belongs accordingly to the permanent staff. In 16 competitive games this year, the young professional started 13 times and contributed three goals and two assists. The contract in Rosario is valid until the end of the next calendar year.
It all depends on what becomes of Kamada and what you imagine as a transfer in Argentina. If you sell Kamada for about 20 million (which I think is rather unrealistic), then you could probably pay 7 at most 8 million for him. It’s hard for me to say whether that’s enough for a young player in South America. …
