Comes from Waldhof Mannheim
Eintracht Braunschweig has strengthened its defense again. As the second division promoted reported, left-back Anton Donkor is moving to Lower Saxony, where the 24-year-old has signed a contract until 2024. The BTSV had previously signed central defender Saulo Decarli (30). Donkor, who trained with VfL Wolfsburg as a youth, comes on a free transfer from former third-division competitor SV Waldhof Mannheim.
“We’re glad that Anton is joining us because he was one of the top full-backs in the 3rd division and, at 24, still has enough potential both on defense and offense to quickly establish himself in the 2nd division. Bundesliga,” said sports director Peter Vollmann. And Donkor, who comes from Göttingen, explained: “I’m happy about the chance to prove myself in the 2nd Bundesliga. I come from the region and the talks I had with Eintracht were very good right from the start. I’m looking forward to my new team-mates and to really getting to know the club and the fans.”
Welcome to the Lion City, Anton Donkor!
The left-back comes from @svw07 and is the second new addition to the #lions. With the blue and yellow he receives a two-year contract.
