Eintracht Braunschweig has extended Marvin Rittmüller’s contract early by one year. The 24-year-old right-back signed a league-independent working paper with the relegation-threatened second division club until June 30, 2026. Rittmüller moved from Bundesliga promoted team 1. FC Heidenheim to BTSV on a free transfer last summer, for whom he has played 17 games to date.
“Marvin has made continuous development over the past few months, especially under Daniel Scherning, and impressed us with his performances. His dynamic and passionate style of play as well as his ambitious and refreshing character fit perfectly with our unity and the way we play football. “We are therefore pleased that we were able to convince Marvin of our path and that he is clearly committed to Eintracht with his early contract extension, regardless of the league,” said sports director Benjamin Kessel.
Rittmüller added: “I am of course very pleased to have extended my contract early and regardless of the league until 2026. I feel very comfortable at Eintracht, am grateful for the trust they have placed in me and am really looking forward to everything that will come our way. My start with the Lions was a bit complicated, but I’m even happier with how things have developed over the past few months. I will continue to give full throttle so that we achieve our goals. We want to celebrate staying in the league together in May.”
