Eintracht Braunschweig scores in the relegation battle

Eintracht Braunschweig got an away point in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga.

The Lower Saxony (36 points) played 2-2 (1-1) at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and are three points ahead of relegation rank 16. The Franconians, who have not won in four games, have 38 points and are not yet there rescued.

Long-time Bundesliga professional Anthony Ujah (10th) gave the North Germans, German champions from 1967, the lead in front of 11,430 fans with a shot from the turn.

Julian Green (23rd) scored for the shamrock to equalize. Immanuel Pherai (47′) used his knee to take the first opportunity in the second half to make it 2-1 for the guests, while Green (54′) scored again to equalize for the hosts.

Braunschweig’s Lion Lauberbach (30th) had another good chance for Eintracht, who looked very determined. Ujah was able to distinguish himself again and again, who repeatedly caused unrest in the opposing penalty area.

The Franconians seemed technically a bit more mature, but could not play out any visual superiority.

Before the start of the game, Fürth announced that the cloverleaf would have to do without defender Damian Michalski in the final spurt of the season. The 24-year-old suffered a broken metatarsal in training.
