Three goals last season
Second division promoted Eintracht Braunschweig has signed center forward Luc Ihorst, who was loaned out from Werder Bremen last season. The 22-year-old, whose contract on the Weser ran until 2023, signed a working paper with the Lower Saxony that was dated until 2024. The fee is said to be 200,000 euros.
Ihorst contributed four goals in a total of 19 third division appearances in the “Löwen” jersey. In Bremen, the two-footed offensive power for the second representation had accumulated. However, the Werder homegrown player comes with the experience of 18 second division games that Ihorst played in the 2020/21 season during his loan at VfL Osnabrück. “It was Luc’s and our express wish to continue working together in the future. Despite a few injuries in the past, we are absolutely convinced of his abilities. He is a player with a high level of physical presence, which is an important criterion for assertiveness in the center game in the 2nd Bundesliga,” says managing director Peter Vollmann.
Ihorst said: “I am very happy to continue to be a part of Eintracht and to be a permanent member of the blue and yellow in the future. Personally, my first year in Braunschweig didn’t go optimally due to my injuries. So I am very happy about the trust that has been placed in me and I will do everything to return it on the pitch.”
He liked it here so much, he just stays!
After borrowing from @werderbremen in the past season commit the #lions Attacker Luc Ihorst until summer 2024.
