Fifth newcomer
Eintracht Braunschweig brings Rayan Philippe from Luxembourg to the 2nd Bundesliga. The Frenchman is the third professional to make the move from the BGL Ligue to the German lower house in the last three seasons, including this season. In Luxembourg, the 22-year-old winger was under contract with champions FC Swift Hesperingen and was the league’s top scorer with 32 goals. In addition, Philippe collected 26 assists. In Lower Saxony, the working paper is valid until 2025.
“Rayan played an impressive season, but we had had him on our radar for a long time,” explains sporting director Peter Vollmann. “He’s quick, good at dribbling and a goal threat, and we should bring exactly these attributes to make us more versatile and dangerous on the offensive. We are happy that Rayan has chosen Eintracht.” The BTSV had previously confirmed the commitment of four other newcomers.
