Eindhoven driver (65) unwell in coach: dies after collision with tree | NOW

A 65-year-old driver from Eindhoven died around 07:00 on Wednesday morning in an accident along the exit of the A67 near Eersel. While driving, the man became unwell and ran off the road with his small coach. He hit a tree and fell about 10 meters down.

The victim was trapped under the passenger bus for some time. The fire brigade freed him, but emergency services were unable to do anything for the man.

An air ambulance was also called in. There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Police traffic specialists came to the scene of the accident to investigate.

Exit A67 closed

The exit of the A67 at Eersel has been temporarily closed in the direction of the Belgian border due to the accident.
