Swedish rapper Einár, who was murdered last October, is getting his own charity foundation. The mother of a rap artist who died at the age of 19 wants to establish a foundation in her son’s memory, because she believes that this is what her son would want.
– It is important that we don’t forget what happened to our beloved Nils Einár Grönberg, says the rapper’s mother Lena Nilsson.
The purpose of the foundation is to support people and organizations that work in a creative and artistic environment.
– In the end, the purpose of everything is to improve and create decent living conditions for vulnerable and abused children and young people and their loved ones, says Nilsson.
Nilsson says that Einár’s dream was to offer a meeting place for everyone who wants to create art. The Instagram update published by the rapper’s mother has received almost 20,000 likes in less than a day, as well as a huge number of comments and praise.
At the end of July, it was reported that the late rap artist will release the song Din Låt, recorded before his death, together with his artist friend Victro Leksell. The song is currently at the top of the Swedish top 50 list on Spotify.
Einár’s death shocked the world last October. A rap artist was shot dead in the yard of an apartment building in Stockholm. At the time of the incident, he had been moving with two rappers belonging to a criminal gang.
The authorities suspect that Einár is involved in Stockholm’s gang world. The young man also had a previous criminal record, as he had been convicted of robberies and drug offences.
The police and paramedics tried to revive Einár, but nothing could be done anymore.
