The German para-cycling team won at the World Championships in Baie-Comeau, Canada. The team from the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS) was able to celebrate eight title wins, and there were also six more medals at the championships that ended on Sunday.
Angelika Dreock-Käser, Annika Zeyen (2), Michael Teuber, Maike Hausberger (2), Kerstin Brachtendorf and Jana Majunke won the titles for the German selection.
“What the team achieved here at the World Championships can hardly be put into words and I couldn’t have dreamed of it,” said acting national coach Renee Schmidt: “I’m very proud of the sporting results, but also of the team spirit.
