Eight police officers injured in riots in Sweden

During riots in the Swedish city of Örebro, eight police officers were injured on Friday evening, four of them seriously. According to the newspaper Aftonbladet, the violence started when more than 200 supporters of the far-right group Stram Kurs (Hard Line) wanted to express their anti-Islamist ideas by burning a Koran. That intention led to a counter-demonstration, after which the situation got out of hand.
