Eight arrests were made during the demonstration on Museumplein. According to the police, they were guilty of obstructing and insulting officers.
Hundreds of people gathered during the manifestation on Museumplein. Earlier, the Amsterdam triangle (mayor, police, justice) designated this area as a security risk area because of the United We Stand Europe demonstration, where signals were received that people with weapons want to come to the square.
The security risk area is in effect on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., during which time the police can search everyone preventively. This also applied to the walking route of the parade to and from Museumplein, but that route passed peacefully.
