Society is becoming increasingly digital and not everyone is keeping up with the digital trend. This is evident from the Digital Inclusion Barometer. For example, 46 percent of the Belgian population is digitally vulnerable and 48 percent of single people have weak digital skills. Also, 27 percent of people over 55 with a low income do not use the internet. To help residents upgrade their digital skills, eight local authorities in West Flanders have started the Digihulp project. This concerns Avelgem, Deerlijk, Harelbeke, Kuurne, Lendelede, Waregem, Wevelgem and Zwevegem.
