The Hamas terrorists murder, pillage and kidnap.
Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (42, Green Party) has now confirmed: eight Germans are in the power of Hamas! The German embassy is in constant contact with the relatives of the hostages, said Baerbock after discussions in Cairo.
Baerbock insisted on releasing all hostages immediately. “These are innocent people,” says Baerbock and emphasizes: “Release is a requirement of humanity.”
The terrorists are hiding the hostages in the Gaza Strip.
Baerbock: “We will make every effort together to be able to release the German hostages, but there are many other nationalities.”
Baerbock traveled to Israel yesterday for a solidarity visit. There she met her Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen in Netivot, near the Gaza border. Baerbock then went to Egypt for further discussions.
The Israeli army says it has already made several limited forays into the Gaza Strip. The goal of the high-risk missions: find hostages, eliminate terrorists and dig up their weapons caches.
Exactly a week ago, Hamas terrorists invaded Israeli territory. They attacked the Jewish state in a meticulously planned attack. The cruel result so far: more than 1,300 deaths and more than 3,000 injuries. Around 150 hostages are being held in the Gaza Strip.
